Coffee Hour Social is a monthly gathering in Houston where evangelicals in their twenties and thirties gather for some lively chatter on theology, philosophy, and culture.
We are writers, artists, academics, and young professionals gathering every month to hash out big questions in culture. Our Coffee Hours draw inspiration from a rich history of philosophical gatherings that have shaped intellectual discourse throughout the ages.
It's like having a discussion with a buddy over coffee... except it's thirty folks, all discussing big questions about faith and culture.

We meet to connect believers from different local churches to engage in meaningful conversations about culture, theology, and creativity.

Nope! Coffee Hour Social is a para-church gathering started by three Houston artists and is not affiliated with a specific church or denomination. Our leadership team comprises of believers from different local churches in North Houston.
We deeply value and insist on the role of the local church in the life of every believer. We exist because we also recognize the importance of engaging in conversations that transcend denominational boundaries—a space where differing viewpoints can interact, and faith can be examined and refined.

If you can make the drive, join us! We do not offer video calls for our Coffee Hours, so that we can focus on face-to-face connection. Unfortunately, “zooming” is just not the same!
