Good questions are the basis of great faith, and every question is a road that leads to Christ.
Coffee Hour Social is a para-church gathering of young adults seeking to discuss matters of faith, culture, and creativity. Together, we seek to grow in our understanding of God's Word, deepen our relationship with Christ, and live out our faith in love and service to others.
Our Story
Coffee Hour Social is the community-driven initiative of three Houston artists, connecting young evangelicals in their twenties and thirties around cultural questions and matters of faith. We draw inspiration from the rich tradition of ancient Greek symposiums, providing a welcoming space for intellectual exchange and thoughtful discourse.
In a time where many believers find themselves insulated in bubbles, confined by the walls of their respective churches and social media algorithms, Coffee Hour Social exists to connect believers from different local churches to dialogue about important matters of faith. As a para-church gathering, Coffee Hour Social is Christian, evangelical, theologically conservative, and non-denominational.

Sarah Davis
Co-Founder and Host
Sarah is the visionary behind Coffee Hour Social, serving in communications for the crew. By day, Sarah wrangles pixels and paint as a graphic designer and artist for the brand studio, Lokal Color, crafting visuals for Houston nonprofits and consumer brands. In her spare time, you'll find Sarah with a book in hand, diving deep into the realms of theology and art theory. Sarah’s coffee of choice is fermented coffee at Conduit Coffee while rocking to good tunes and free wifi,
Brielle Milford
Co-Founder and Host
Brielle Milford is the event host for Coffee Hour Social. Brielle is a creative writer, originally from New Mexico, who combines her background in communications with her passion for storytelling to create discipleship material for young women. She is working on her first book, Sonkissed, set to release in 2025. At Coffee Hour Social, Brielle serves up words of wisdom in our archive and oversees the team of contributors. Brielle’s coffee of choice is a latte with a dash of honey from Tosca Italian Gourmet.
Marti Rudawski
Marti is the hospitality coordinatior behind Coffee Hour Social, ensuring that everyone gets a steaming cup, brewed to perfection. Marti is a nurse with a passion for missions, holistic health, and traditional agriculture. She considers her kitchen her creative studio where she develops new recipes using food sources from local farmers and ranchers. She is working on a cookbook that connects modern, urban foodies to traditional agricultural practices. Marti’s coffee of choice is an entire carafe of her own French press brew from beans ground by her manual burr grinder and a second cup on-the-go from a local artisan café.
